The Daylight Protocol
About
Morning was supposed to be a miracle.
No one asked what would happen when the world wanted it too.
For seventeen years, Dayne Sanmour lived on the other side of daylight.
Now, after the treatment created by his father allows him to walk beneath the sun, Dayne wants something remarkably ordinary: one year of daytime school, a locker, friends who do not know his family, and the chance to discover who he is when no one knows his name.
But ordinary becomes impossible when a photograph of Dr. Willanton Sanmour standing in full sunlight begins to circulate.
A vampire.
In the sun.
The questions come first.
Then the hope.
Then the demand.
Vampires who have built full and beautiful lives beneath the night must decide whether daylight is something they want at all. Others are desperate for the choice. Families arrive with questions medicine cannot answer quickly enough. Physicians want evidence. Institutions want rules. And Willanton must confront a consequence he never intended:
Creating a possibility does not give him the right to decide what others should do with it.
As one family's private miracle becomes a public reckoning, the Sanmours must protect the science, the people who may depend upon it, and one principle the world is already in danger of forgetting—
Daylight is an option.
Night remains a life.
